Why does Facebook display my 360 photo as flat?

Facebook requires Google PhotoSphere XMP metadata embedded in the JPEG header (ProjectionType=equirectangular). Without this tag, Facebook assumes the image is a regular 2D photo.

Does this tool compress or lower my image quality?

No. The XMP packet is inserted into the APP1 header without modifying or recompressing the image pixel stream. Full resolution and clarity are preserved.

Is my photo uploaded to any server?

No. The entire process runs 100% locally in your browser memory via JavaScript TypedArrays. Your files never leave your device.
